Support Sanctuary Pigs

HUHA's pig population has recently balooned from 40 to over 90 pigs who have come into our care from different families and circumstances. We continue to work to find them all the loving, forever pet homes they deserve where they won’t be bred, eaten or on-sold. Although these pigs are incredible in our eyes, they are not the sort that are easily rehomed so we are likely to hold them in our care for many years to come

A few of their stories...

• Stu's pigs- as per Stu's wishes his 56 pigs were transferred into our care in December 2024.
• Miranda came to us after being found tied to a lamppost in a distressed state. Today, she can be found stealing the horse's hay to make herself an extra comfy bed.
• A group of 15 pigs brought to us from the SPCA are under our care and we have nurtured them back to health after they were found in a terrible state. A few days after they arrived, a litter of piglets were born which needed to be bottle fed because their mum was in such bad shape.

If you have the means you can set up a subscription to support our shelter pigs each week, fortnight or month. This will make a big difference and means we have the capacity to help more animals. 

When you sign up for ongoing support of the animals in our care you will receive a set of postcards of them as a symbol of our appreciation. Supporters who subscribe will also receive a biannual newsletter update from our rural animal department and you will be invited to our very special annual supporters day so you can to meet some of our sanctuary animals.
